Terms of Service
Length of Booking:
The artist can recommend the best length of time to ensure the anticipated number of guests will each be able to receive a painting and/or balloon.
We are not always able to accomodate requests for time extensions, due to other commitments on our schedule. Our scheduled end time is when we must stop, unless a potential extension has been otherwise discussed with the client.
Reserving your booking:
Sometimes multiple parties are interested in the same date and time. We cannot guarantee a booking date and time unless you are the first to reserve with payment, so please make a minimum 20% payment promptly after checking the artist's availability and receiving a quote to ensure your booking is secured. This may be paid through paypal, Venmo, CashApp, Zelle, or Check.
Payment:
A non-refundable reservation payment of 20% of the total booking cost is required to reserve your booking date and time.
The remaining balance may be paid in advance payment(s), or at the time of the booking.
Cancellations/Refunds:
Client cancellations do not recieve a refund of the reservation payment (20% of the total booking cost).
Any payment made in addition to the 20% reservation payment is refundable if the cancellation is made at least 3 hours before the booking.
If the artist would have need to cancel due to injury, illness, dangerous weather conditions, or other circumstances outside of their control, the client would either be refunded a full refund, or the artist would find a replacement artist if possible, in alignment with the client's preference.
Set-Up Requirements
Access to restroom facilities, a minimum 5x5 space, and 10 minutes of set-up and take-down time before and after are required.
For general safety and the best experience possible, please ensure that there is adequate lighting and controled noise level in the painting space (not set up next to loud music speakers).
If Outdoors: The face painting set-up requires overhead shelter such as a canopy tent, awning, pavilion, roof, etc. Please have an alternate indoor location ready in the event of inclement or cold weather.
Designs
The artist provides a board or a book of designs offered. Fulfillment of any special-request design is at the sole discretion of the artist.
Adverse Working Conditions:
The client agrees to provide the artist with a place to paint that is protected from extreme temperatures and precipitation.
The client agrees to pay the full amount contracted once the painter has arrived at the event location, rain or shine.
The artist has the right to cease and leave without refund if there are extreme adverse working conditions, such as destructive, violent, or extreme inappropriate behavior of a person or animal; illegal activities; or otherwise dangerous conditions.
Liability Statement:
The artist is not responsible for the supervision of children. Their behavior and safety is the Client’s and/or Guardians’ responsibility.
For safety reasons, the artist will not paint anyone who does not want to be painted or anyone who appears to have a contagious infection or illness. The artist will not paint on or near open wounds. These determinations are at the artist’s discretion.
The artist is not liable for allergic reactions to the face paints or latex balloons. People with allergies or sensitive skin should proceed with caution. Please consult the artist about the allergy or concern.
The artist will use reasonable care, but is not responsible for allergic reactions or damage to clothing or property.
